Speakers Bios

Betsey Taylor

Betsey is an intercessor and Kingdom encourager. As a 3rd generation praise and worship leader, she has been involved since age 17. Married for 48 years to retired Battalion Fire Chief Ronald J. Taylor, Betsey is the mother of five girls, two of whom are praise and worship leaders presently for a 4th generation.

Born into a minister’s household that did not survive the pressures of church expectations & demands, she was called in adulthood to intercede on behalf of ministers, their families, and ministries. She is a genealogist, storyteller, speaker, and writer. She is also the editor of FORGE, the Bigelow Society’s Quarterly Newsletter and many of her published articles are found in genealogical libraries in the US, Canada, and the UK.

JOYcelyn Lewis

JOYcelyn’s mission is to empower women to live out their unique communal life calling and to be leaders.  She also loves to create and hold space for women to hear the voice of the Good Shepherd. She is the author of the book Clipped Wings, leadership development coach, strategist, Christian life coach, mentor, founder of Legacy Mentoring Academy, LLC, founder of S.I.S.T.E.R.S.,(Sisters, Inspiring, Supporting & Relating to Sisters), founder of Hope Academy, congregational development consultant, preacher, teacher, renewal retreat facilitator, Spiritual Director and Executive Director of Equipping Lydia Center for Spiritual Renewal and Training. She has also had the privilege of traveling abroad as an intercessor, to teach and to share the gospel.

She enjoys learning, reading, painting, photography, writing, spending time with her family and close friends. JOYcelyn shares her life with her husband Wendell and they have a daughter Dominae, a son Darius, a grandson Josiah, a granddaughter Shiloh and seven goddaughters.

She has a MA in Spiritual Formation, a MA in Christian Leadership and she is Certified in Formative Spirituality. JOYcelyn is currently preparing her latest book, Quiet Rhythms With God, Accepting God’s Invitation to Know Him for publication.

 

Missy Rogers

Missy Rogers is an emergency medicine physician in Lexington, Ky. She became a Christian in high school through the ministry of Young Life and has had a passion for Jesus ever since. She has been a teaching pastor, leadership/life coach, mentor and loves to travel. She and her husband Jeff, along with a group of amazing friends, also started Wellspring Prayer Center in Lexington – a place where people can come and encounter the power and hope of Jesus. Though life has taken many twists and turns, the one thing that has never changed is her desire to help people discover who they are in Christ – living into their full potential as children of the KING!  Her husband, Jeff, is a landscape and advertising photographer, and together, their mission is to bring peace, healing and wholeness in Jesus name. She and Jeff live in downtown Lexington with two cats and a dog with big ears!

 

Tammy Bolton

Tammy is the mother of one son and two daughters and is lovingly known by her 12 grandchildren as Mamaw Toot.

As an anointed, inspirational and evocative teacher, forged in the fire, she makes no apologies or excuses for the scars she carries. Instead she uses them to share her story of redemption to touch countless lives. Her riveting testimony, entitled “Beauty for Ashes,” will be featured in Still Standing, a book she is co-authoring with 5 other women, which will be available in June 2020.

Passionate to see women develop healthy, lasting relationships, and a deeper understanding of who they are in Christ, she has ministered to women across the Midwest, founding encouragement ministries such as Mon Ami, in Jasper, Ind., The Tribe in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is currently the Women’s Ministry Leader of the Tribe at Destiny Community Church in Lexington, Ky. Gifted in the prophetic, she is known to be a “Treasure Hunter,” who always sees the treasure within others, graced with a heart to see the broken and walking wounded set free by His Truth.

 

Session Overviews

Session 1: Eclipsed (10 am)

Inside every woman is a warrior.  This segment, taught by Betsey Taylor, will address:  1.) the wounded warrior within who has felt overshadowed and rendered powerless or ineffective and 2.) the waiting warrior within who has yet to be released.

Session 2: Enveloped (11 am)

Speaker JOYcelyn Lewis helps you discover the wrap-around presence of God and the sustenance found in Him alone.

Session 3: Equipped (1:30 pm)

Dr. Missy Rogers explores the power of the armor of God and the importance of knowing your identity is in Him.

Session 4: Empowered (2:30 pm)

In this final session, speaker Tammy Bolton will help you discover the strength to: 1.) embrace the power that is within you and, 2.) exercise it effectively so you can live in freedom!

    Conference registration includes all sessions, materials and lunch.
    • Early Bird Rate (Feb. 14 – 29): $35
    • Regular Rate (March 1 – March 31): $40
    • Last-Minute Rate (April 1 – April 10): $50

    Registration closes Friday, April 10.  Tickets are non-refundable, but transferable if notification of name and contact info of person receiving is sent to registrar 24 hours before event.   Transfer requests may be sent to CAMBConference@gmail.com

    Driving Directions

    From the north:   in Lexington, take New Circle Road south to the Nicholasville Road exit.  Turn south.  After approximately one mile, turn left at the left onto E. Tiverton Way.  Then turn left on Harvard Drive.  The church will be on your left.
    From the south:  from Nicholasville, head north on Hwy 127 towards Lexington.  Once in the city, turn right at the light after Whole Foods onto E. Tiverton Way, then left on Harvard Drive.  The church will be on your left.

    What is provided in the cost of registration?
    Your registration fee provides access to all worship and speaking sessions, conference material, plus lunch on site!

    Is childcare available?
    At this point, we are unable to provide childcare for the conference.

    Where is the conference located?
    “Come Away My Beloved” is held at the campus of King’s Church, located in Lexington, Kentucky.
